Moving to the right coast. L8Rs!!!!
Have a safe trip. I was at Little Creek, VA, lived by Oxnard, which is the school district Camarillo is in. Now I'm in Salinas, CA by Fort Ord. I'll head east myself one day, except this time to Florida, Eglin, AFB. That's the big day for me. USMC 22 yrs.
Enjoy the trip.

I saw a "Build it Bigger" episode on the Discovery channel that featured your new home. Very impressive indeed.
BIGGEST WARSHIP
What does it feel like to build the largest aircraft carrier on earth — a floating city that will serve as a combat airport, defending American security around the world? The $4.5 billion USS George Bush is now midway through its four-year construction period in the Western Hemisphere's biggest dry dock at Newport News, Va. The critical superlifts are now underway. These cranes can lift 900 tons, and need every pound of that strength to hoist 160 massive sections of completed flight deck sections into place. The pressure is on as every lift must happen with metronomic accuracy — any delay sets the entire project back.

your wife should finish that flag painting you had, that thing was pretty cool! You'll have to post pics of your cross country trip and the new casa. Good luck on the trip!
Left Corona this morning and finally made it to my first over night stop at Winslow, Az which is in the middle of freaking nowhere. This is pretty much all I saw the whole trip with the exception of Flagstaff.

Well made it to Amarillo, Texas today. It was a long BORING drive. Worst than yesterday. The scenery was okay from AZ into New Mexico. After Albuquerque it pretty much looked the same. I wanted to die because I was going nuts. I didn't see a sign that tells me how many miles to my destination so I could guesstimate how much time I was looking at on the road. Then we hit about 10 billion road work areas. By the time I made it here, we were on the road 10 hours. The Z doesn't have the best seat if you are a heavy guy like me. The side bolster on the legs were digging into my thighs. Well here are some pics that I got to capture today.
This is West New Mexico/East Arizona. It was pretty nice actually.

I was amazed at this when I filled up today. an it stay like that steady. That was in Santa Rosa, NM, which is 155 miles from Amarillo. I got to Amarillo with 374 left and a 3/4 tank. One of the things I like about the Z over my old RX-8.

And this was the most excitement I saw today. This was right in Amarillo when we arrived.
