Gonna be heading down to So Cal and stopping at some of the UC's this weekend.
Should be at UC Irvine Thursday 10/4 to Friday 10/5 then heading to UC San Diego till Sunday 10/7. Any meets going on during that time I should stop by at?

I think there is a regular Long Beach meet every Thursday night. It's not close but also not terribly far from UCI.

And most Thursday nights there are misc car meets at the Tustin Marketplace (I-5 and Jamboree).

 

Friday 10/5/07 at torrance starbucks on 190th street google, starbucks in torrance its the one on 190th street. tons of subarus, and z's go there every friday

 

oct 6th is japanese classic car show.

Well definitely none worth going to. If I were on vacation or visiting a school, the last thing I would be thinking about is a car meet. Not sure how it is up north, but sad to say, the meets down here are a bore.

theres an inland empire Z club that usually meets first Thursdays of the month. So tomorrow there is one out here.. Denny's by Ontario Mills mall. Never been there, but Im actually checkin it out tomorrow and see how it is.

theres also a Hooters meet in Riverside I think on Friday.

There is the " Cars and Coffee " meet every Saturday morning in Irvine ! That would be perfect for you .. its really close. Its an awesome exotic car meet with a hugeeee turnout every Saturday. It starts at about 7:30am (you don't have to show until like 8 if you don't want a front spot) and goes until everyone leaves(typically about 10). Everyone goes out to the corner and watches all the cars " take off " its pretty fun. I really don't know why more Z's don't come out to this meet. Almost no-where in the world will you find that many exotic cars / muscle cars in one spot for free and in a casual setting. Sometimes people are even willing to give rides etc. I remember one guy that often brings his semi truck full of ferarri's. haha It kind of depends on the week and how lucky you are but theres aleady alot of cars no matter what. I know its early but its not so bad once your up and staring at 20 ferrari's etc Each week a different forum has a specific car meet and they take up the " featured section " in the parking lot at the already established car meet. They put like a sign up letting everyone know what group it is and I would love to have my350z represented out there one Saturday.

Anyways come on out ... I'll be there this week and I know a couple other Z's always show too. PM for directions but to give you an idea its where the 5 and 405 meet right next to the Irvine spectrum. At the Ford/Mazda corp building parking lot.

all that blue tape will draw lots of attention from the cops down in LA, hopefully your engine aint modded or else they'll prolly ticket you in LA if they ask to pop the hood.

 

there really is nothing to do around ucsd. you should see alot of Z/Gs in the ucsd area though.

 

Yeah, these are amazing and everyone really needs to at least go to it once. I'm planning on going tomorrow if all of the following hold true:

- Tonight I can install my air duct
- Tonight I can wash my car
- Tonight I don't drink too much making the early AM departure time unfeasible
