Default No restriction

I think some clarification is necessary here. The rear muffler in Borla's #140045 350Z dual exhaust system is a transverse flow muffler maintaining the true dual characteristics. It's a really cool muffler. The drivers side exits on the passenger side and vice versa. Like all of our mufflers, it is non-restrictive, free flowing and has been designed to provide the maximum flow for this particular application. By using this design we were able to save 20 pounds and maintain the true dual exhaust characteristics. There is no restriction anywhere in the system. For example, if you placed one ping pong ball inside the pipes on each side (just behind the cat) they will each blow out of the rear without ever touching eachother. The ball from the drivers side will exit on the passenger side and vice versa. It's a great design, we're really happy with it.

I wouldn't suggest putting ping pong ***** in your exhaust though. That was just for clarification.

Default Allright, Mr. Borla.

Happy to have you here, whats the deal with the horsepower, & can you give us some info on the Headers. Will I have problems getting my Z smogged after I get the headers? & do you have a sound byte on how the Exhaust sounds that you can post for us, we are a little anxious to hear these gems..

Thanks,

Cazz

I just realized I've been spelling LaBree as LaBrie like the cheese. It's LaBree.

Hey Dave, I hear you might be coming to the shop. If you do this on a weekend, would like to meet to chat about the Borla.

N74DV. Jerk!

WhooooHooooo!!!! Its on then. I can hardly wait to get the exhaust put on. And gibbsy, I think I'm going to have Labree put it on for me. Brent says he installs allot of Borla systems so I'm sure they are good at it.

Edit: Ditto on hfm's jerk comment.

We experienced a horsepower gain of 20+ over stock. Don't have a sound clip yet. We are working on getting the headers CARB approved. Should be no problem. Thanks for your interest. You can email me at davidb@borla.com if you want.

Hehe.

Before Borla

Curious enthusiast "How many horses does she have?"
Me: "287."

After Borla

Curious enthusiast: "How many horses does she have?"
Me: "About 310 to 315!"

There's just something about breaking 300 that just makes my day.

I'm in. Can't freakin' wait. My first mod ever!

importriders, I decided the same, I'm going to have Brent do the install. Maybe we can caravan up?

hfm, yeah, looking forward to answering the "how many horses" question after this!

Maybe what we can do is have a Borla party at LaBree. Followed by another Latigo canyon run.

Depending upon Brent's schedule and how the systems ship into his shop (will probably be a few at a time due to space), we can coordinate having a group of us get them installed on a weekend. I'll talk with Brent about this when we get close to shipping receipt.

Default Sounds like a winner to me

I like that. That way we can have something to do while we are all waiting in the recovery room while our Zs are in surgery.

Or like we are expectant fathers waiting in the delivery room, handing out cigars announcing, "ITS TWINS, TWIN TIPS WEIGHING IN ABOUT 20+ HORSEPOWER"..

This is good to hear. I've been calling all afternoon and the line is always busy.

Anybody know a way to get around paying Calif. tax. If it's paid for by an out-of-state buyer but shipped within Calif. do you still have to pay tax?

Well, this sounds cheaper for you guys that live in the area, but not for us outsiders with the shipping and everything. Lucky dogs, heh. But Summit doesn't have the time limit, and at a similar price, they are more fesible for me.
