yes its at the Borla Booth at SEMA for the public unveiling of the PE TT Kit...


We got new hood to accomodate the heat... it was provided for by one of the Sponsors SEIBON. It provides for more airflow. It looks like the Hasemi GT Hood. Everything was a rush though so I didnt even get a chance to take pics of the hood.

Quick reviews... I've brought tears to my own eyes! 6th Gear even has a pull now. The the 2 turbos spooling and making the noise though the wastegates every time I shifted was to die for! No dynos as of yet and I was even afraid to floor it. At half pedal at forth gear doing a run from 65to 85 MPH you can feel your head snap a bit... too bad the car went straight to Borla after we got from PE USA. Its goin straight to SEMA. We didnt even have a chance to play with it... boo!

The car didnt have time to be tuned. It still needs the Techno Square ECU for max boost. Its only running 3 i think max is 7 in order to reach that the ECU by TS is needed. Dynos might be done after that.

Since there is a PE high capacity oil pan did those come pre-tapped for the oil line to the turbos?

Your car is constantly evolving for the better. Hopefully will be able to check it out at SEMA.

 

i was wondering that myself... too bad i really cant talk that much with our JDM mechanic. He's the PE Engineer and we didnt have a traslator. It was a pretty tight fit under the car and if u look at the pics u can see the tubes from the turbo leading to some place im thinking its connected somewhere for oil.

I think Cheston is more qualified to answer this kinds of questions.

PE is sponsoring the car for some major engine upgrades. problem is theres only so many parts that PE makes - better turbos better injectors and etc. They dont make internals like rods or pistons so thats where the problem lies. It needs more $$$$

For dyno info on the PE kit Cheston aka Chebosto has all the data you need regarding the HP numbers of the kit in various boost levels. Think of it this way we present the car to the public (car shows) and make the people interested and Cheston actually does the R & D and testing. Truth be told the car only runs daily at 5lbs of boost and Cheston is planning to do 10 lbs. For any technical questions on the kit he's the person to ask.

Awesome rims...they look similar to what I'm waiting for. Enkei RPF1 19 inch. Went to JDM-Pro for a quote, and expected due date. Japan has front, but rear only available end of May, and shipment arrives in 6 months. Sucks.....long time to wait! U.S. only has 17 & 18 inch available. Quoted me on price and shipment, but will wait to see if anyone will carry them here. Shipment alone from Japan was steep....filling the container would be cheaper...but.....will wait and shop.

Hi Amy....well, Pauley is in Germany on business, my baby is still in the damn F*%$#@& shop.....I am now the proud owner of an Enterprise Hyundai Elantra....at least it's the same color as my Z.....UGH! Long story short...did not sleep at all last night, no news from Pauley, and home alarm went off in burglary mode....so needless to say, I hid under the blankets all night paranoid. This is when I really miss home.....scared out of my mind.......Slept in till 4:30 this aft....ya, I am kinda ****-ed I missed it all too. I was supposed to help Lysa set up with Ron, but woke to tell her I was D.O.A..........hope to see you soon.....

i am wondering how you 'incorporated' the harness in the Z. do you have a harness bar?

i saw the one pic of the interior with the hatch open in page 7 (or somewhere around there) and it looked like the tail-end goes straight down along with the recliner.
