I got a error code on my EDFC unit, 3 lights go on and it reads Front 08 Rear EL, My question is it o.k. to drive my Z if i just turn off the EDFC unit or do i need to leave it alone till i find the problem, Or what do i need to do, I checked i dont see anything disconnected, Is the motor connection maybe disconnected from the unit or the motor went out?

 

just call Tein at 562-861-9161 or email them sales@tein.com, since nobody seems to know.

 

In the instruction manual that came with your edfc towards the back of the booklet there is a list of error codes i cant recall off hand what yours is for but it comes down to a connection being bad to one of the sensors typically not a problem if you cant find your instruction book pm me and ill see if i can find one.

 

I called Tein, since no response, I checked and something in the rear must of gotten disconnected. I will take it back to the shop so they can give it a look through.

 

Call Tein before 4pm,. They leave early.


I had a similar problem and they just gave me a new EDFC control unit. The Tein guys rock =P

is it under warranty, how long is the warranty for the edfc

 

well finally founf out its the edfc head unit, i went to the shop soy the can pin point the problem, They tested with a new head unit and it worked, Something is up with my RDFC head unit. You think tein can help. I wonder ho w much is cost to fix or replace, how long is the warranty, please let me know who to talk at tein.

 

Well just got back from the shop, They pin pointed the problem, It was the head unit, They swapped out the head unit and theirs worked, I kept on getting the error code Rear EL and it doesnt change, So they told me talk to tein to see if they can replace, Any one know who i can talk to at tein to hook me up? I hope its still under warranty?

 

Called Tein and they will not warrant electronics, So i have to buy a new head unit. If anyone has a head for sale let me know.

 

how did you get the code?

mine just sets of an alarm and says ERR from time to time. i have no idea of what it can be since it doesent happends everytime i drive the car.

And when i turn it off and then on again then there is no error.
