Default Southern California Cruise

Im planning a cruise just after newyears. The cruise will span about 106 miles one way. It will involve most of the 74 (ortega to the locals) and the 243. the starting point is going to be a parking plaza right off antonio parkway (location will be chosen depending on how many people are willing to go) and we will be leaving at 7am(ortega is open from 430am to 830 pm). This is early, but it is the best time to experience the beauty of these roads. Although ortega highway is partialy closed down, the stretch of closed road is only about 1 mile, and a the majority of the road is still wide open. I have never driven the 243, but it is said to be an incredible road.

Things are not set in stone, but it will be on Saturday, January 5th.

Please PM me if you are willing to go, and I will update the list weekly.

This is not a canyon run or a road race. This is strickly a cruise.

I'm interested. I just ran the 74 from San Juan Capistrano to Palm Desert on Monday. The stretch from Hemet to Palm Desert is awesome.
