Default Anyone in socal know how to unlock an iphone??

Hey i just purchased an iphone but i have tmobile. I know this place at topanga mall that unlocks iphones but they charge a whole whoppin $125 for the unlock service. I found a few guys on craiglist that unlock iphones also, but then i know that a lot of them are scams. So if anyone is real good with computers or knows how to unlock an iphone, give me a holler! I have tutorials on how to unlock it yourself but its too confusing for me since im not that good with computers and all that program stuff. Give me a call at 661-670-7796 or just simply leave me a pm. Thanks!

Takes me about 15-20 minutes or so. I've done a few. It's all step by step walk-throughs.

Google it and DIY.

So if you unlock the iphone you can use all the features such as internet, email, IM, text messages etc? I have a sidekick3 and I really like my unlimited text and fave5 contacts, will it get rid of this? Anyone know? I have a hookup with iphones but I don't really want at&t, the plans suck compared to my sk3.

^^I think the fave5 will still work you just have to have the numbers set on your account over the internet. Cool was it hard to unlock? I might do this then, the iphone takes a sim card right?

Yeah it takes a sim card. I actually had mine unlocked by some guy that unlocks them on craigslist. He charged me $25 for the service and it took about 30 minutes for him to do it. The only problem with unlocking the iphone is, once its unlocked, you cant upgrade the software. If your familiar with itunes, upgrades are available pretty often. Once you upgrade your software on your iphone, your phone becomes bricked and it pretty much useless unless you know how to restore it back to its original settings and what not.

I dont think I will mind the updates, as long as I get sound and I can watch videos when i'm on the web thats all I really care about. $25 isn't bad to unlock, what city is located? I think I should be able to do it myslef though.

Hey man you have to download itunes for apple.com
-then click on iphone tab
-then download the software
-then the latest software for the updating of the phone
-then the system will walk you through the process
its very simple and shouldnt take more than 30 min. depending on your computer speed!

^^Huh? Are you talking about the iphone? I know how to download itunes I already have it. We're talking about how you can't update itunes for your iphone if it's unlocked for another carrier other than at&t. Unless itunes can help you unlock the phone.

You can downgrade the software. I think you just have through restore it on iTunes.
