Default what to do with old text books?

i have a ton of slightly older text books that the school book store or bookmart will not take because they keep on updating new editions with minimal changes for profit..... is there any foundation that takes books and donates them to 3rd world countries or anything? i dont know what the hell to do with these books?

thanks

Thats a good question... I have a whole bunch of old text books from college that I will probably never look at again. I sure wouldnt mind donating them to some good cause either...

actually do you have a list of the books? I wouldn't mind picking up a few if I am interested in reading them

I sold virtually all my books on this e-bay site including a couple old edition books which some schools had not yet updated their syllabus to.
