I went to the auto x practice on saturday, I was the only 350z there. It was awsome fun but I expected to see more Z's out there. I was doing better timer than a couple of evos and most STi's there, surprisingly (It had rained that morning and was kinda wet my first couple of runs ,first run: 69.xxx seconds, best lap: 63.9xx. My car is completely stock (except direct replacement stop tech slotted rotors), had about 1/2 tank of fuel (Very heavy), and all my stuff was in the car (I didnt intend to run that day). My 03 performance did extremly well after about the 2nd lap when I set the correct PSI on the tires. A lot of people say that the Z is NOT a very good handling car, not true, even though this was my first event here in CA and my first event with the Z I've driven alot of other cars on the track, and the Z is amazing. I was on street tires also (Nitto NT 555). If driven properly this car is a beast.

When I was choosing cars the Evo, STi and S2000 were also on my list, but im glad I got the Z. I hate hearing how the only better thing about the Z is its looks. An STi owner came along on a ride with me and he was impressed, he couldnt believe how smooth I was with a RWD compared to how choppy he was with his 4WD.

It was an awsome event, I hope to see more Z's out there next time.

 

I usually come out to the ones at Qualcomm stadium. I just got back from the track, so I chose not to come this time. There are usually a couple 350Z's that run.

Hopefully, I'll get to see you next season.
