Default want to hear test pipes/HFCs...

hey guys... can someone thats running testpipes (prefferably on a nismo exhaust) please let me listen to their set-up? maybe even a ride???

or HFCs with nismo exhaust...

just want to hear in person before i pull the trigger and then find out the sound is too obnoxious (test pipes) or not worth it (HFCs)...

i would really appreciate it.. im in huntington beach or redondo beach or LA all week/weekend long... i work in redondo beach...

thanks in advance

IMO I think you should get the HFC. I've heard a Z with just test pipes and it's a little too raspy for my taste, I have HFC's and they're just right for my taste. Unfortunatley I don't have a recording of it, but I can show them to you in person if you'd like, depending where you live of course.

i had nismo exhaust on resonated test pipes

sounded very clean but you cannot go wrong with HFC's where the smell is minimal

Sup Eugene,
I wish I still had my TP so you can hear it, but lemme tell you it's LOUD..TOO LOUD. I think Nismo with HFC sounds just PERFECT.

Yea don't get TP's with nismo. Horribly loud unless you like to really stick out. HFC's are perfect for nismo.

are u also adding a y-pipe with your catback and testpipes?

When I had the combo of all 3 items it was loud as heck, but putting the stock y-ipe in the middle calmed it down and got rid of a lot of the rasp

Nismo y-pipe is piece of crap and will rasp like crazy with TP, but since you're getting HFC you should be alright as far as rasp.
Also, just make sure you get a HFC with support bracket(esp. Crawfords) otherwise they're prone to crack because of the Nismo Y-Pipe(no flex whatsoever).
