Default Sprint or Tein S-Tech?

Well i am considering dropping my car a bit to help my wheel gap. I was wondering which do you think would be my best bet i could get both for around the same price? Which would you choose from the two? Also after installing them how long would it take for me to have to replace my shocks?

EDIT*** Saw these on ebay are these real?

+ 2 also, beware with the fake TEIN S-Tech springs that are sold out there. it's pretty much identical to the real one, except the only way you can tell the difference is that the writing on the springs alone are not aligned well.

+3. As for changing your shocks, it depends on how old they are to begin with. If you can change them within a couple months, dont worry about it.

Shock wear may depend on how much of a drop you are lowering and the heigth of the tire sidewall (lower profile = more harsh ride = more stress on whole suspension setup, including shocks). As for which one, it may also depend on the spring rate of each (in other words, how soft or hard of a ride do you want). I have Sprint Springs on my 91 2 + 2 and am happy with them. I have Tokiko sport lowering springs (with adjustable shocks--so I can change the ride dampening if, and when I want) on my 94TT and they are fine too. In fact, both suit my purposes equally well (I do not track my car). Unless you track your vehicle (then it depends on setup, your personal tastes and the individ. performance of the product), any good name brand will do. Those who say use one brand over another probably have the brand they are using.

Tanabe and Tein have sort of caught on with the tuner crowd for 350z's, so having them on your current Z won't hurt resale and you won't be accused of going rice--whatever that is). In the end, I doubt anyone could really point to any superior handling characteristics vs. another spring they have never used on the same car using seat of the pants driving. For that kind of information, I usually rely on product reviews by independent sources with experienced racers doing the analysis. In other words, look for some spring "shoot outs" if you really want to find objective answers to questions regarding performance such as rebound dampening, feel, and sag issues.

I'm sure the technology has changed somewhat since I put springs on my 94. And, I'm going to lower my 350z as well. However, I will probably rely on more objective data than personal opinions of daily drivers. Hey, but that's just me.

I wish inquiries such as yours pointed to real comparison type tests. If, and when, you do any research on this, please pass it along--I know I would appreciate this type of information.

Be very careful of fake tein. Somewhat easy to look for when you see the difference. Here's a link to decipher:

I would look into swift springs. Much higher quality control than Tein. I have the Tein Flex on my car but will be switching the springs out to swift for a higher spring rate. They have tons of selection to meet your needs. Here are a couple of links about it:
intro on swift:

coil over kit specific to z:

that's interesting stuff! Heard about it today at Precision Z and they mentioned the difference there too.

As far as Tein S-tech I've always found them to be pretty tough/stiff springs, meaning they ride stiffer and harder with less bounce than other springs. That kinda sucks but better then bouncing around!

Guys i was curious? When you upgrade the springs you generally need a rear camber kit right? What about if you upgrade springs and shocks?
