Angry Vehicle Registration in Cal. going to Triple!

WTF is wrong with Gray Davis. I hope that they recall that A$$. He took a state that had a surplus in cash 2 years ago, and now we are over 38 billion in debt. GOOD WORK....

It is going to cost between $700 - $900 to register our cars in Cal. this next year. Up from about $300.

yeah, it's true.

but i thought heard on the radio this morning that some state legislator is bringing a bill or a lawsuit (wasn't paying that much attention) to stop it.

so is it final yet?

I feel you man, I was thinking the same thing. How is this jackass still in office? How could you possibly run a state like California into the red? I thought having NO AC IN THE FREAKING SUMMER sucked, but raising my car registration, that where I draw the line. Is the something I can sign or do the get rid of this guy? I'm going to have $2,000 dollars in fees to go along with my $1,500 dollars in car payments. Not to mention my insurance

Davis -> <-Me

CA state officials are now laughing all the way too the bank. I bet they all vote to increase their pay check soon. The Fed is nice enough to cut the Tax and now the State wants to take it away.

Funny, my letter didn't say that. It just said, "sending four big and hairy guys" and some references to "holding down" and "bent over." No mention of any Vaseline.

This is all political and California politics is now controlled from top to bottom by the far left wing Democrats. And look at what it's gotten us. This is why you should never ever vote for a Democrat. IMHO, of course. Should I add a goofy smiley thing to prevent flaming? no. Ha! But seriously, this is not a good thing at all.

From http://www.dmv.ca.gov :

Important: Vehicle License Fee Notice

The increase in Vehicle License Fees that was announced on Friday, June 20, 2003, affects vehicle registrations that become due October 1, 2003, or later. Vehicle registrations that become due before that date will be unaffected by the increase.

Vehicle owners whose registrations become due on and after October 1, 2003, cannot pay early to avoid the increase. The department mails billing notices approximately 60 days in advance of your vehicle registration expiration date.

DMV customers are advised to wait for their regular billing notice for instructions and to return it by mail. Certain customers may be eligible to register online.
