use to go there all the time its a hot spot all right not recommend to go as a group either they may pull you over just cause of that. people there call the cops all the time if they see lots of cars rolling up. if you decide to go anyways dont speed before you enter the lil city and camp grounds.. as well watch out for bikers..

They can pull you over, but you can't be ticketed unless you do something illegal.

Then again, I think most of us don't have front plates....

I'm a little late but I've been driving GMR for the last 5 years without any problems. I usually come from Mt. Baldy. Super late night runs are the best but everyone please be careful up there I have 2 friends that went over the side and didn't make it back up.

Wow. I'm surprised you still go after your friends' mishaps.

Yea it took a while but really if you respect the mountain then you will have better luck. I warned them that they needed to just have fun and not try to prove anything to themselves or each other but they didn't listen and paid the consequences heavily.

They just went up their and hammered it through from Mt Baldy without any prior experience on that road and that was their biggest mistake. I've driven that road close to 500 times or more and every time I would just go a little faster than before until you find where the trouble spots are and where the limit is of your vehicle and your driving ability.

These were my Honda days as I had a EF hatch with a B20 swap setup for autocross and I could rip through those hills like no other. Now I have had to start over with my 350z as they are completely different handling cars but I just take it one run at a time gradually going faster each time I run through those hills.

I've only ran from Baldy to Azusa and around Crystal Lake area if I recall correctly, that was a while ago. I haven't been up there in about 6 months.

Yea late night or very early morning like 2-3am is killer, knock on wood
looking forward to the next GMR meet although I'm not looking to race anyone just chill and have fun.
