I got in the z and looked at the temp and it read 109F... WTF! Grabbed the steering wheel and shift lever to drive away and burned my hands. I cant even enjoy a drive in my z thanks to ******* sun.

I agree with you, I don't like the sun that much either. Had to crank my AC to half way yesterday and today. And I NEVER turn it up half way

Ya what kind of shift **** do you guys have that gets hot? I got the stock one which just gets "warm" at the most. I don't think it's ever been really hot

depends how you hold the shifter. The metal part with all the gears listed on it can burn my palm.

The heat is definitely getting bad, but I'm glad I don't daily drive my Z. For those of you who do, GL with the rising summer temp.

maybe you should buy a sun guard for your car so this doesn't happen again.

I keep a pair of driving gloves in one of the compartments for extreme heat and cold situations. And, along with a windscreen shade.

I still have the shift pattern branded on the palm of my hand from the last time. (j/k)

I try to put a hat or somethin on the shifter when its left in the sun, usually I have a nice clean microfiber towel to lay over the steering wheel and if I have an extra shirt or sweatshirt in the back i'll throw it over the driver seat so my swamp *** doesnt get worse when I sit down. (I used to do this when I had to park my car in the sun during work, and I would be sweaty enough as it is after a long day)
