Default 4.083 install prices at West Co Nissan

So I've decided to get 4.083 final drive gears for the Z from Z1 Auto and decided to get some quotes on installation/labor. I call West Co Nissan, which is only like 5 min away, hoping for a decent deal as I purchased my car there and have had some work done. I get on the phone and tell them what I'm looking for and they quote me almost $1200 for labor??? They say it's because they'll warranty the work and its included in the price.

Now I know the dealership is a little pricier for installs but that's outrageous. I've seen installs for these from the drivetrain forum hit a max of $500. Anyone have any suggestions where to take to get this done?

Maybe Jeff or Justin can chime in on this? Any help is appreciated.

check out Corner 3 Garage...Nima and Steve have a great shop there and are reasonable in price. You can find their info on the so cal shops list.

Even if Jeff or any of the westco guys step in, there is only so much they can do for you since it's a dealership. They have set book pricing.

We actually don't really do R&P installs here and usually outsource them since they are so involved. Any of you who need assistance in getting these done be sure to contact me direct via PM.

But yeah like the other guys were saying, in the parts dept here we unfortunately cannot control the hourly rates however Jeff and I step in when possible to try and persuade the service dept to adjust where possible.
