Defeats the purpose of having HID's in my opinion. It looks good though, but only on race cars.

Here's what you should do, buy a daily driver and turn that Z into a full blown race car.

sorry to burst your bubble dude but the whole "GOLD" theme has already been done by another white z owner and honestly its gonna take alot of money to compete with him but if your just doing it for yourself then that cool! good choice in color too btw. gold always looks good with white. Oh and I personally wouldn't go with the yellow tinted lights, i dont think it looks good. just keep them the way they are. ^_^

I got a set from blue bat and I had them on my Z for about 2 months. I think it looked ok with the contrast off the blue. lights were very yellow, i pulled them off cause i didn't want a ticket.

I did the same thing and I got a lot of compliments! Unfortunately I also got a lot of attention from the POPO. You are asking for trouble when you do this mod. In addition, now that they are removed I have to deal with the cracks in the lenses! I kinda agree with Nexx and I wish I had waited and paid the extra dough to professionally black them out like I was going to do in the first place!

I love the look and want to do it to mine, but don't want the tickets.

Are they easy to install and remove, can i just put them on for the track and keep using the same set every track day??

I say give it a shot. Its a cheap enough mod that you can always take it off if you dont end up liking it.
I could look good imo...
