Default TICKETS GET MY LICENSE SUSPENDED! (uhh help?)

ok just found out that my DL is suspended... 2 of my tickets (speeding) went to collections... can i still go back to court for these tickets? my story is i was "out of state" and was unable to appear in court but i want the chance to correct this issue...

the 2 tickets amounted to a little over $4,000... i need to get these lowered. is this at all possible?!

yup best thing to do is get a lawyer since you are in some serious sheit. out of state is no excuse cause you were informed probably many times about amount needed to pay and due date.

i would goto collections at the court you are appointed to and talk with them to see what can you do to lower fees(if possible) and figure out how to solve this asap. if they tell you your screwed then i would definitely get a lawyer. my sis was in a similar mess but not nearly severe as yours and her lawyer basically got judge to drop all fees (dont ask i have no idea).

I believe if it's a warrant through the court. You could get it lowered by the judge, but if it in collections than you have to pay. GL and take care of the tickets ASAP. ARE you in the Service?

Never in my life have a seen a 4k speeding ticket fine? I am 41 years old and all the tickets I have ever received arent even over 1k total, if that. Were you supersonic? What is the formula they use for speeding in Cali? Does collections add on more money?

The cop didnt tow your ride for a 30 day impound? LAME . If you were smart I wouldnt drive if I were you. Any decent cop would do a 30 day impound on any unlicenced/suspended-revoked licence driver. The fee for 12500 (a) v.c is no joke not to mention the impound yard fee.

Not wishing the worst, you just need to face reality.

1. You sped numerous times
2. You didnt pay the tickets regardless the reasons
3. Now you need to pay the penalties like a good american

If this can help at all, getting in front of a judge is pretty much not going to happen. Your best bet is to go to the assigned court and ask around for options
