A friend of mine recently purchased a 350Z Touring and would like some help re: swapping out the Bose and the factory alarm for some aftermarket parts..
Any recommendations on the HU/speakers/amp/sub? Any alarm recommendations? Any San Diego stereo shops recommendations?
Thanks.

I'm no authority on the car electronics, but the Clarion DVD/Touchscreen setup is nice... as is the Kenwood excelon dvd/nav. I like Focal and Dynaudio for speakers. Oh, and lots of sound dampening.
As far as security, Mr B has an interesting pager alarm that also has an auto-start feature. It allows him to start the car before he even sets foot in it. Tres cool.
There is a place called La Jolla Audio off the 5. Don't know if they are good or not.
There, I've given my .0002 cents.
