Default Datsun/Nissan Heritage Museum Grand Opening Meet in Murrieta, CA September 12-14

I APOLOGISE FOR THE LATE NOTICE BUT HERE IS MY THREAD TAKEN FROM NISSANCLUB AND G35DRIVER.COM:

Hello everyone,
Well I just joined the Z Car Club of Inland Valley and found out about a wonderful opportunity to all who would like to attend and its the grand opening of the first ever, Datsun/Nissan Heritage Museum created in honor of the father of the legendary Z Car plus the Datsun 510 and the person responsible for bringing the greatest brand of automakers to the United States, Mr. Yutaka Katayama otherwise known as Mr. K.

Z Car Club of Inland Valley
is hosting this event in honor of Mr. K's 99th/100th Birthday and is welcoming all to attend this event and learn a lot of the Datsun/Nissan History dating pretty far back to the early days of automobiles.

Cost: FREE and donations are welcome to support the DHM foundation and to keep the doors opened for future generations. They are looking for sponsors to attend and door prizes will most likely be given out.

Where: 41610 Date Street, Suite 103, Murrieta, California 92562

When: Ribbon Cutting will be held on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM and the hours for the event the entire weekend (September 12-14) is 10 AM - 5 PM.

Some of the biggest names in the business will be attending this memorable occasion so make sure you are there to be a part of history. Plus there will be some ridiculously nice Z Cars and many others there to see. More details can be found on the ZCCIV August Newsletter page 6.

Check out their website also here: www.datsunheritagemuseum.com for more details/pictures also.

See you all there

That is right down the street from me.

Is there a particular day or time when we should all meet there?

I put those times out so you could all decide when you wanna come together. The event is being hosted by the members of ZCCIV and you can pretty much schedule whatever time here. If you want I can make space as long as you schedule it here when you all are coming and how many. Thanks and hope to see everyone there.

UPDATE FOR TODAY:
I will let you all know that there WILL also be food provided for all in attendance on Friday and Saturday only so make sure your there for some free grub also.

BTW the very first of the new Nissan GT-R will be in attendance and this would be a good time to see it before it gets destroyed in the near future and there will be a few others there as well.

I will say that those of you that missed the Grand Opening really did miss a memorable event and a lot of the cars that was there this weekend will not be there anymore but you can check out the museum anytime just make sure that you call to make sure its open. I do have pictures and a video and I will try and put something together in the next few days so those of you that missed it can somewhat see what we saw.

OH did I mention that on the Ribbon Cutting which was Friday...Nissan Corporate was giving free GT-R test drives. Oh well lol to those of you who didn't go.

Hell a lot of people missed this because of course they had better things to do. The museum will still be there and those who did come really saw a great thing. The nice thing about history is that it will always be there and this place is definitely going to grow.
