Oh man, I got the exact same ticket, parking at the LAX airport too! I was like "WTF?" Of all places, I wouldn't expect them to ticket people there. So anytime I park at LAX now, I park at one of those private lots where parking enforcement wouldn't have authority.

I must be one of the only ppl who likes the plate on the front of a Z cuz of my personalized plate, I think it looks ok with the stock bumper and cf lip cover and anyways I'm an old guy.

I had a 92 Stealth for about 13 years and never had a front plate on it. I don't have a front plate on my Z or on my Miata. I've never had a problem. Both license plates are in the trunk in case I ever need them. I don't think the police pay much attention. Or maybe they just leave me alone cause I'm an old guy and maybe they just think I forgot the plate.

CHANCE IT!!!! I was actually pulled over by a State Trooper for no belt and then he noticed I didn't have a front plate. I told him flat out I didn't want to put it on because of appearance and he was cool with that explanation....he use d to own a 240, so he was a Nissan fan.
Other than that, been rockin' no front plate for 3 years.

Sporting the front plate...sort of.

Actually, the plastic grommets that are placed into the bumper cover to provide the fastening feature for the screws that hold the bracket on broke last weekend. Now I'm driving around with two 3/8" holes in the front bumper cover.

Tustin Nissan only had one plastic grommet so I had them call OC Nissan of Irvine, who had 2 grommets. Went there at ~430PM to find out that the grommets had been sold to a bodyshop along with a new front bumper...

Not too happy about that.

But I did get to take a look at a nice, new white GTR. $32K mark-up = $102K price tag. ****ers.

i think its all strange how the front license plate thing works, you NEVER see a vette with a front license plate, in fact , they really dont even have a place to put one, if you look on the front bumper they just have a plate outline grooved out with corvette written across it but you will never see an actual plate there...its almost like if your car is $50k or more youre above the standard, and less hassled? Just what i have seemed to notice.

I've had it off since I bought the Z (a little over 2 years now). I have to admit, I get nervous every time there's a cop in front of me and he's looking at my Z. I'm thinking, "damn damn damn..."
