Default electronics recycling

Is there a place in Socal (preferably in 562 or 626 area) where I can take old computer equipment and mercury bulbs? I don't want to dump this stuff in the trash, but I seem to get a lot of run around from the local public disposal, it's almost easier just to dump them.

Thanks for the link! I'm surprised there's not more of these places open to the public.
