Default San Diego: Car is at the shop....body kit getting installed and painted this weekend

Well the day is finally here. Took my Z down to get everything installed. It was looking like it was going to be around March of next year before it was going to happen, but my wife surprised me. I don't want to post up the name and the location of the place just yet. I want to make sure the car turns out great before I reference them to anyone else on the forums. So far their other work looks exceptional but for the price I was quoted it just seems to good to be true. I'll report back next week and let everyone know if this place works out.

Okay, so these guys did an awesome job and they even went the extra mile a painted my hood for free! Since I now feel comfortable with them I'll go ahead and drop the name:

Mossy Nissan Escondido Auto Body
126 South Andreason Drive, Escondido, CA 92029
Manager: Daniel Sanchez
Tel: 760-746-9767

These guys totally hooked my up! If you call ask for Daniel and tell him that Mike sent you over. Now here's the kicker...I got my install for really cheap. He said that normally it would be probably a couple hundred more. So you guys can figure on a full kit install and paint to run probably around $700-$900, which is a hell of a lot better than what I've been getting quoted by specialty shops ($1500-$2000). Now for the pics (and yes I know it's a V2 kit....get over it...I think it looks hot!):

I never been a fan of that front bumper. But after looking at your ride, I must say it looks damn good! They did a great job with the paint and that hood matches it perfectly!
Did you get your kit from a vendor here on this site? I may need a new rear bumper.
Anyways, awesome job

Yeah I have a set of Tanabe GF210 lower springs that dropped it quite a bit. Thanks for the compliments! The shop is just north of San Diego in Escondido on Auto Parkway Drive and N. Andreason St.

I got the kit from HR Auto on this site. The fitment was really good but their fiberglass molds aren't that great. I've got a few areas that show imperfections in certain lighting conditions and they body shop couldn't get them out without making matters worse. As far as paint matching they got mine perfect. They work on all models of Nissans, so they have the correct paint available and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg!

Daniel and the Mossy group bodyshop is a good bunch of guys. They worked on my Z after it got rear-ended last year. I didn't have them install anything, but they fixed $7k in damage no problem!

Anyways, did they paint the whole car or just install and paint the kit and hood? If the whole car, how much you think they'll charge to do a widebody install and paint? Also, no orange peel, or drips? And did they paint the engine bay/door jams etc? Just curious because I'm looking to install a widebody on my s14 and I really like what they did with your car and the price!!! If you could PM with info (don't really come on here all that much) Thanks!
