i had the same kinda issues with my Z. go to find out that my grounding went bad on the whole car. It fried the ecu, coils packs, sensors. Was a bad situation. But thats what happened to me. Check the main body ground on the passangers side and the ecu ground on the drivers side. Best of luck!

Ya had bogging, car would start some times not others. Then it stopped turning over completely, the cluster came on but that was about it.
Ecu with reprograming was like 1000-1500, coil packs were about 700, random sensors and stuff about another 1000. total job cost me close to 4k.
The main body ground is located passangers side in the engine bay. i'll take a picture for you tomorrow. The one for the ecu, is located on drivers side in the engine bay on the fender kinda.
I'll get pictures up tomorrow.

This happened to me a few months ago. Problem would occur randomly. I took it to Perf. Nissan and they told me that my key wasnt holding the code correctly. They reprogrammed it and i havent had any problems since.

Sounds to me like you have 2 different problems. My guess for the starting problem is that either the alarm is causing it or your clutch pedal switch. As far as the bogging out/stalling problem I would venture to guess MAF or throttle body. Get the code read it will tell you for sure. There's not too much that would cause a no start condition with no crank besides an alarm or clutch switch. Good luck.
