And you don't have to be there at 2pm. But you should be there early enough if you need to speak to the judges when they're judging your car.
Just curious cause I'm new to this...what woudl you need to talk to the judges about?
Any specific mods you want to highlight that might could make you stand out from the other cars. Rare parts, snakeskin roof, one off rims, etc... They're going to judge from what they can see. You can walk them around and talk about your car to maximize your points total during judging.

Plus don't forget you'll want to clean your car and "set-up" what ever display you want for the show.
Since its an outside show you'll more than likely have all that residue water from the night before. Not to mention all the dust/dirt from the parkinglot and nearby freeways.
What if some hooch takes a booty shot on your car and you're not there to enjoy it?

This sucks.. its already hard enough for me to drop off my car the night before and for me to make it when judging time comes is going to be near impossible. I work saturday morning. I wont be able to be in till later during the show hours.
I have the TT setup i would love to show the judges but if my hood is closed its near impossible to see anything since i had it all thermal coated black.
Doing the show just sounds like a drag now rather than fun lol.. not to mention someone hit my car the other day an im barely getting a new bumper painted by today... crap!

usually they aren't as strict with the gas rule during outdoor shows... i've only seen guys get turned away from indoor shows when they have too much gas, and they either siphon it out or go burn it off 
I've heard of people snatching radiator caps and oil caps and misc parts when no one is looking, so keep an eye out for thiefs too.
