I'm currently an Nokia N95 user running a T-Mobile service.
As far as SoCal coverage is concern, I wanna hear some feedback on how AT&T and their 3G network is holding up. Dropped calls? Slow 3G? Limited coverage?
The reason I'm asking, down the line AT&T is more expensive. Just want to know if its worth it.
I'm thinking of staying away from the unlocked version of the iPhone since I'm a mac user and I'm trying to avoid any issues with the updated version of OSX.

I phone smokes everything. Friend has a dare and its not close to iphone... Im typing this now on i phone. Its probably faster tham ur desktop. Service is decent. Lost some calls here and there but phone is amazing. Ur gona pay up the butt for it but its worth is. Must have $30 data plan and lowest min i thenk is $40 and $30 for unlimited text. I lucked out. Ups 23% discount. But get it. I take tests from work, can read power point emails in full. My alienware laptop cant even read 2007 documents but my iphone can. Phone will blow ur mind

Depending on where you live, there will be issues with any cell-phone service especially if you live near the ocean or work in a large building.
In my case, the dropped call areas are very predictable and were an issue with both Verizon and Nextel, so I don't blame AT&T.
With that being said, the Iphone is a game-changer for sure. Traffic maps, email, texting, and the free applications are all very useful and work pretty fast. If you do switch service I would recomend that you input your contacts into your Mac from your Nokia and sync them when you do your Iphone syncing.

I say get it! I'm on mine right now at work. I actually use it a lot more then my PC. I have the most basic everything (text/minutes) and pay around 90.00 a month but it's worth it. Just make sure you get good 3G coverage cuz once you get use to it the E sucks. Oh yeah battery life isn't the best.
