damn...spent the whole day under the car today. Installed BC coilovers, put the GTSPEC mid chassis brace back on, and installed SPL endlinks! I fuggin love the new setup! On full soft the ride is butter smooth, but when i set the front to 25 and rear to 20 (out of 30), the ride is noticeably firmer/stiffer than my old oem shock and RSR spring setup. I lowered the rear as far as it'll go, and I have less than a finger gap. I lowered the front by about 2 cm, but I might go lower if the springs dont settle themselves.

The only dumb problem im having is with my chassis brace. I put a few washers underneath to give it more room to clear my midpipe because it was rattling before, but now I scrape it pretty bad going in/out of my driveway. It probably woudlnt have happened if i didnt lower the car even more. Im thinking about taking it off and only running it for canyon/track days.

alex, you put it as low as possible in the back and it's still has a half a finger gap? you got the rear endlinks? did you preload them with the wheels supported?

Yeah these coilovers do not go too low in the rear unless you get their shorter springs. The fronts can go as low as you want. But Im happy wiht the wya the rear sits now. It should settle a bit. Some guy has the same coils and he took a before and after picture after he drove around for a month or two, and the car definitely has come down a bit.

The rear endlinks have not come in yet.

oh... but they should be here this week right? i know the guy at spl, i cannot remember his name, sent my parts pretty much right away. it was delivered right on the date that fedex said it was going to be delivered. spl is definitly right on! i just have not had the chance to do crap.

found out one of my friends got clipped on the freeway doing 70 mph on his bike. the driver that clipped him in the rear took off. my homeboy lost some skin on his back and both arms. lucky bastard, walked off the freeway under his own power. bike suffered minimal damage.

stupid black gto... speeding and witnesses said he was doing like 100+ mph.

yeah... lucky him though... hitting the pavement at 70 mph is pretty fuggin fast. actually, i wouldn't call it minor scrapes... that shiet was some pretty serious scrapes. i saw the pics, and fak... his back looked like a bar code from the grooves on the freeway. no skin, just flesh and big patches of it was showing.

yeah lost some skin and a big bruise on the side of his ***, guess that's where the initial impact was with the ground, other than that, he's in good spirits. i guess the worst part was at the emergency room, they had to scraped the pebbles out of his back! he said that crap hurt like hell, and i can only imagine.
