So i just came back from a canyon run... I have never scraped so many times in a day before. The car could be too low in the front, and/or the spring rates are not high enough. Maybe I should have adjusted the endlinks on the swaybars differently... whatever the case, the edges of my diffuser are taking a beating on hard turns.

Its weird because i know the spring rates on the coils are alot stiffer than my previous spring/oem shock setup, and I had the dampers set at a medium-high level. I know im lower than before, but I dont think its THAT low to be scraping so easily on turns.

Right now, i could try stiffening the front sway bar and/or adding a little more preload on the front springs. I'll try that before i raise it up to see if that fixes anything.

 

damn.. how stiff is it gonna be? ride quality gonna be down to ****.. but um.. sounds like it's just turning too hard??? You turn that hard driving regularly?

 

I dont think adding some preload will deteriorate ride quality too much. As it is now, the ride is excellent. Im just having some, from what it looks like, body roll issues up front. Stiff isnt bad, BOUNCY is bad. I set my dampers to almost full stiff, and you can feel everything in the road. However, I definitely would not call it uncomfortable or bouncy. Its just very firm. If i set it to a very soft setting, it rides quite smooth and absorbs alot of the bumps in the road.

I was doing a canyon run...thats why I was turning hard. Ive done alot of canyon runs and Ive never scraped like that.. lol I shoudlnt be having a problem like this..

aloh, it's too low in the front. your diffuser made it too low. plus you lowered it more with the coilovers... whatever the case... either you make everything stiff as hell... or raise your car a bit.
