hey, does brake pad require break in? I put on the Ferodo DS2500 pads.. but they feel as if the Evo doesn't brake as aggressive.. its hard to stop at stop signs n lights..

 

^ i dont think it requires a "break in" time...its supposed to grab and work right away

hmmm... that's weird.. this pad is suppose to be for high performance n occasional autoX/track pads.. is it suppose to feel different? braking feels solid, but it doesn't have the neck jerking instant grip feeling... even tho ppl say the initial grip on this is much better than stock.

Its possible they didnt install it correctly. If they suck at bleeding the brakes, then theres air in the lines. This would mean that youd have to press the brakes harder than usual to get the same stopping power from the calipers.

But as far as break in goes...I dont think so. There is a BEDDING procedure that the shop should also have performed. If you fail to do that...then yeah, it could make the brakes not work well

 

^ ya you might have to rebleed the brakes to make sure there's no air in it.
