ya.. the Evo transmission has some problems that's not going away.. but when Mikey heard about it, he keep on talking about tranny ****** and stuff.. I guess it's just human behavior. When you worked in certain fields, you always link everything back to that... so none of us can ever use the word Tranny again. We don't want Mikey to remember all those dark times

well.. lot of the Xs have grinding on either 2nd or 3rd gear.. some have both... most of them go away after 5k, 7k or 10k miles... I'm almost hitting 10k miles but both gears still grind... I don't think it does any damage, just some nasty sound... shifting isn't smooth at all.

I let my car warm up to below 1k in the morning.. it helps, but I still have to drive a good half an hour on the freeway for the problem to go away... once the car cools down a little, problem comes right back out

any grinding at all is not good... and fyi it DOES cause damage... the grinding you are hearing is metal on metal.... that is causing metal shards as well... the MOST IMPORTANT thing about a CLUTCH and TRANSMISSION (not refering to stephen ) is a butter smooth transition from one gear to the next. if that is not happening there IS something wrong. since i have owned my car i think i have missed a gear and got a grind about 4 times and i kick myself in the *** each and every time... i couldnt imagine if that was happening ALL THE TIME.

let me know when u are free... since im gonna come over tomorrow for the "steak out" dinner we can maybe shoot over to wal mart and make a small list of things you can get.... my best advice is that we go to a ACTUAL tackle shop and shop for your stuff tho... there you can get a decent Diawa rod and reel for like $20 for te whole set up and we can grab some berkley's gulp bait and some hooks and weight and we can get some GOOD line on your set up... as long as you can cast i can help you catch fish... dont think we will be doing any morning fishing THIS sunday but it would be nice

yea bro, pretty limited and timing is everything... mike like i told tony, we can get you a light rig for pretty cheap... u guys just need to remember this... SALT KILLS ALL RIGS.... so after we fish, you rinse your rig immediately when we get back to the car with a good 1/2-1 gallon of fresh water... lets just say i will be shopping for a new shore rig with you guys yes, teh fail was with me... thats what i get for going fishing after a night of rolling hahaha

i felt a little grinding in 3rd and the transition wasnt as smooth but that could just be cause you let Mike drive all the time... he is really rough on other ppls car so he prolly wounded your little bird... in any case, it IS causing damage and it does need to be fixed. your car dont even feel safe to launch if you were going to track/drag... thats not good... i think that ur next performance mods should be clutch/fly and trans
