Exclamation Dodge Charger CHP Cars Entered Service on Orange County Freeways

I was driving on the 5 North yesterday coming home from work and I spotted a black and white CHP Charger for the first time ever pulling someone over. I do almost all of my driving on the 5, 55, and the 22 throughout the week at different times and I have never seen a marked CHP Charger before in Orange County. Just a heads up for everyone

Here are the pictures along with some of the other interesting CHP cars

i was pulled over by 2 crown vics and a dodge charger, 2 years ago in my area. pretty sick cars, but they would never hand with the z in turns. the cop driving the charger even admitted it to me.

Indeed. One would think that these Chargers are mostly for show. Even with the CVs, they could chase down just about anyone. With a helicopter, it's pretty much over.

Oh great, have to memorize another light pattern, more opportunities for me to get paranoid on the freeway when there's a Charger behind me.

Same here. At least a crown vic or a Caprice its easy to spot. But cops are starting to use cars you never would expect. I guess I just gotta drive normal so I dont get pulled over.

Saw one pulling over someone on the 57...

On the other hand, It'll be interesting getting pulled over by a Smart car.. I'd probably get the fattest ticket possible for laughing at the officer the entire time. probably will go to jail too...

+1... Those flat LED light on the newer Crown Victoria is already hard enough to spot... with Charger headlights, I'll probably never guess it's a cop.

Like these? I know these 2 are for show purpose... saw one similar to the top one in Diamond Bar. I almost shitted bricks cause I had the urge to race him... when I was just about to pass him, saw the POLICE sign on the door...

I'd be willing to bet the chargers for CHP aren't used for patrol much, but rather for the senior officers to run errands in. They are extremely NOT aero dynamic it'd be a waste of gas.

Even though I want to be a police officer myself, I'll admit that I see alot of departments waste money on rediculous show vehicles, or luxary vehicles for the officers to drive around in. I've seen OC sheriffs cruising in H1 Hummers.
