Default 72' Ghia

My Dad just passed down his 72' Karmann Ghia to me, which i've been looking forward to for a long time. I was wondering if any one knew about any shop that can help me with a disc brake conversation, particularly around the long beach area. Drums brakes are way sketchy and i kinda wanna change the rims as well. My dad also doesn't know much about the maintanence history of the car so I feel like it might be a good thing to know. Any help is appreciated..

There used to be a guy above my work who owned a Karmann Ghia that he was rebuilding, if I run into him I'll get his number and PM it to you. He knows alot about the car.

There is a big VW shop on Paramount and Gardendale in Downey. The shop is always full of old bugs and Ghia's
