7 days to the start of Gumball 3000.

I'm not sure how many of you have been following the info for this years event, covering more than 3000 miles from Los Angeles to Miami, but the official start date and location is Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, CA.

For those of you in the know, give me a heads up if any of you are planning on coming out for the launch party, concert, and car show. On hand will be over 100 of the hottest cars in the country and from all over the world, celebrities, royalty, live music, hot chicks, etc...

I myself, will be heading out early on Friday and think it would be awesome to have a group of "350Z'ers" out there having a great time.

Maybe a caravan from OC or Long Beach???

What do you guys think?

i was gonna go on sat to santa monica....but i realized that i was going to vegas....so ill just wait till sat and find out where they are there....

There's always the drive off Saturday morning if you want to see all the cars in action.

what exactly happened to your trip to make you stop?

My car was allowed to show at the Los Angeles stop in last years Gumball 3000. Even though I didnt actually participate it was still a lot of fun and a great experience. Hopefully when I have oogles of money to throw away I will do the full thing.

Stolen/misplaced backpack with laptop and wallet in it.
DSG transmission was acting up pretty bad after only 400 miles.

My license was in my wallet, along with all my plastic and I didn't feel that good about venturing that much further away from home without any form of ID or credit cards. We had enough cash to make the whole trip but just felt very uneasy about it. The DSG was just the icing on the cake to say "f#ck it" and head home.

DSG is fine now, gonna wait till a track event or other long drive to see if any "symptoms" come back.
