WTF Lakers?

Oh well, you guys just like drama don't you? Prima donnas..

They'll beat Denver at home just to liven things up next game, but seriously the
refs need to start calling the games evenly.

Totally agree with you.

They don't have the killer instinct of the 2001,2002 Lakers or Boston last year, they play with a sense of entitlement that is total BS.

Not worried at all, just tough to watch your team lay a turd..

Although the officiating was questionable yet again, the lack of execution on numerous plays both offensively and defensively would have more than made up the 3 points that the Lakers lost by. Ultimately, the Lakers lost the game themselves.

The Lakers continue to blow leads as usual. As stated, the Lakers seem to have moments of team chemistry and execution, but other times they are playing like utter crap.

Defensively there is not much the Lakers can do to stop Melo one on one or even when they double team him in the paint. However, why aren't they doing a better job of boxing out down low? It seems as if Melo is getting offensive rebounds at crucial moments for 2nd chance points with ease. I really think that putting Bynum and Gasol out there will help out a lot with that.

I guess PJ is just going to have to make some adjustments to the "shooters" rotation (Smith, Kleiza, Billups etc) that Karl puts in now to avoid the double team on Melo. It will be interesting to see what the adjustments are.

On a positive note, it looks like Bynum is getting more of his legs back and is showing some signs of his old self. Farmar made some awesome passes today to ignite the 2nd unit when they were on the floor. I was also glad that PJ finally decided to pull Vujacic. There were a few times that I actually screamed at the TV when he pulled the trigger on a 20 ft jumper way too early in the shot clock.

i totally agree with Rick, the Lakers are just too inconsistent... like a rotary sometimes certain players are good but just they have their days... Honestly, I wasnt much of a Kobe fan until the past 2 seasons when i realized he's like literally the only guy who carries the team by himself.... I think the 4th quarter aside from Derek Fisher's 3 points or was that third.. Kobe was the only one too score.. The rest of not 90% were all free throws in which Gasol missed 1-2 this game and 2 last game.. Sadly this is on home grounds how hard will it be when they play in Denver...

ima still cross my fingers and have faith since the Lakers manage to pull miracles out of their asses the last few seconds of the game... Biggups to Kobe for carrying the team by his damn self... I just felt that the Lakers didnt play to their full potential last night and iono i think Walton and Odom are worthless....

Yesirrrr

Interesting how the pre-game show had all analysts choosing Denver for the win in this game. LOL

We'll just have to see which team shows up next game, the Lake-show can't sleep on Denver like they did with Houston, or they'll get burned.

The Thuggets showed their level of class today haha. Jones with the push on Kobe's back, Kmart's retarded stare down on Fisher (after his lame moaning/screaming earlier in the series following an easy dunk), and JR Smith's taunting at Vujacic when the shot wasn't even being contested.

I had some respect for the Nuggets up until this point. I hope Kobe goes lights out on them again to keep their shutout of attending the finals going lol.

+1 on that Rickster! I still don't feel we played our best but still pulled off a VERY tough win. Never the less, I feel relieved we got this win. Good job Lakers.

+2

A true champion does not taunt, or turn to dirty tactics to win a game, they just play their heart out, and play with respect.

They're still friggin' bipolar...

However, the officiating in this series is horrible. A technical on Kobe after he is intentionally tripped? A flagrant on Bynum when he went for the ball?

^^ I agree and it didn't help that the Lakers did an awful job rebounding. Dahntay Jones is a ***** and has to resort to dirty play cuz Kobe is torching him.

Dahntay Jones needs to be b!tched slapped for playing pu$$y cheap tactics to stop Kobe. I hate when people resort to that. There are only a few TRUE defenders, one of them is Shane Battier........ NOT Dahntay Jones, who by the way, is a HORRIBLE basketball offensively, he's really a liability, LAKERS should expose that and use it to their advantage.
