The Main Players:

Bynum = Lost in his role for some reason... I don't know how hard it is to grab rebounds, dunk put backs, and block shots. He seems so opposite of this. I honestly don't think Kareem is a good coach, because apparently Bynum is not living up to his "potential." They should have someone like Hakeem coaching him, who's been known to be aggressive as a defender as well as a scorer.

Gasol = great finesse player, but does complain a lot and looks to referee for bailout. Soft on rebounds, he needs more muscle, especially in the playoffs.

Odom = I actually admire him, switch from starting to bench, has a back injury but is still playing hard, other than an inconsistent shot, I have nothing bad to say about him..

Fisher = Age is showing, he's getting burned by younger, and faster guards. He lost his shot, which means he pretty much lost his confidence. He's needs to put smaller guards in check with his strength.

Ariza = I don't understand why they have a guy who's known to be a slasher, NOT a shooter, taking 3-point shots??? Instead of pumping the shot and taking it to the hole, he just settles to take the 3 even if it's contested. What is up with the coaching here?

Kobe = Plays hard 24/7, BUT shows the slight tendencies of being a "1 vs 5" player... again. Taking ill advised shots versus working it back around for a better one.

This is coming from a BIG Lakers fanatic, one who's been watching since the Showtime era of Magic, Cooper, Scott, Rambis, Jabbar, Worthy, Green, etc...(yes, I'm that old)... Unfortunately, Charles Barkley put it best, the Lakers are playing Arrogant and not showing the one true characteristic you need when you compete in the playoffs, the desire to win.

let me continue with the rest of the basketball team...

Farmar - Needs to be more physical with smaller guards, and faster with bigger guards... He needs to calm down and play smarter. When he's confident, he's aggressive... when he panics, he creates mistakes.

Walton - I know a lot of guys dislike him, but he's essential to create baskets for others. You have to admit, he does have good passing abilities. But he, himself, should recognize that he's not a sharpshooter. He's best under the rim or 3-5ft from it. Stop shooting the 3.

Vujacic - Needs to realize his role on the team - THAT HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE PLANTED BY THE 3pt LINE and nothing else (DO NOT DRIVE TO THE BASKET AND DUNK IT!)..and another thing: REALIZE THAT YOU ARE NOT Kobe... I like his tenacity, but he needs to use his head when he plays defense. Makes pointless fouls when they are not needed. He needs to THINK before he DOES... not DO and then THINK.

Powell - Doesn't play that much so you really can't say much about him... He does show potential in a perimeter game with his shooting, and seems to be very active on rebounding. Because of his inexperience (3rd yr) he lacks confidence in his role. He needs to be confident when stepping on the court and aggressive on rebounding.

Mbenga - Can't say much about him either because he barely plays at all.

Brown - I must admit, we were lucky that the Bobcats gave him to us. He has good size (6'4), he's the only one from the bench that has been consistent on shooting. He plays hard on defense and hustles day in and out. All he lacks is experience, I wont be surprised if he steals the starting role as point within the next two years.

Morrison - Can we say benchwarmer?

i like Mbenga... he needs to go it and just kick some ***... literally...

Walton... forget him... passing? i guess if that's the best thing he's got going for him. the guy is retarded... even looks like it. i hate this guy. need him out to free up some $$$ to get someone else that will help the team.

i like brown... impressed with his game. definitly a good addition to the team.

vujacic... hahah blackhole... hahahahaa... so funny. he's off and on... need to play smarter.

i think the lakers are just ok right now. if it wasn't for kobe being so awsome, they would get killed. i think they need one more good player off the bench and one starter/or another bench player that can help out the team with defense and put up a few point. then i think it would be awsome. imagine if we got artest?? hahahaha... it would be overs!!!

right now, it's pretty much the kobe show.

Phil likes to have his guys "work it out" and not call TO's. That makes sense during the regular season, not in the playoffs.
