Default People that live in LA

I dont go to LA that often but i was just curious to know how is the driving condition up there. I live by Newport so just wondering how much of a difference there is. I know some of the roads arent as nice and the driveways to aprtment complexes are a pain in the ***. **** espcially the really really steep ones. Please elaborate just wondering if i were to ever drive down there (although havent gone all this time just went with friends)

Los Angeles is a very large area, you will have to be much more specific.

My area has steep hills and crazy driveways, but that doesn't apply to all areas.

ironically in nicer areas such as Koreatown, Mircle Mile (Wilshire) heading west the streets absolutely suck

but ive been driving my lowered Z on 18's with my V2 pretty dumped( Shine version can take a beating ) at least 4 X a week and ive been doing fine....

the roads do suck just watch out for the idiot drivers who especially lack insurance screw the roads !!

Boneout your dumped right? How low like about 3 inches off the ground? Do you have vdc or lsd w/e so you dont get 3 wheel? My car doesnt have that so i have to go at some speed which doesnt turn out good at times

Hello Gennosuke1,

My wife and I took a recent trip through downtown Los Angeles. We started the day with coffee and Beard Pappa creampuffs at:
Little Tokyo Shopping Center
333 S. Alameda Street
Los Angeles, CA 90013
(213) 620-0710
Free parking for first hour.

We usually go to Paul's Kitchen for excellent Chinese food. We recommend the Chinese chicken salad with duck sauce and the chasu(roast pork).

See webpage: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um...99778326968523

Cash only. The streets around the area (10th and San Pedro) are horrible; you are looking at an obstacle course with horrible, uninsured motorists and wandering homeless.
The roads are littered with potholes and old rail tracks that mess up nice rims.

During the late morning to afternoon, we encountered many traffic problems.
We ventured off the 10 freeway to an offramp with a stalled vehicle(Female driver on phone).
We then passed a t-boned truck in the middle of the street(Male driver on side of road with phone).
We even witnessed a delivery truck rearending a passenger truck on Olympic Blvd.
We arrived at the restaurant unscathed. We were driving my DD(white Camry).
We witnessed a fast delivery van merging into a lane; nearly hitting a Lexus and semi on the 710.

Yes, all that within a span of 2.5 hours.

An area to drive the coveted Z; I recommend going(during the weekdays) to:
The Rock Store
30354 Mulholland Hwy
Cornell, CA 91301-3116.

It can be reached from 101 freeway or the 1Pacific Coast Highway. Great curvy stretch of asphalt. Downtown Los Angeles and surrounding areas are heavily congested. If you go towards PCH, I recommend Neptune's Net for seafood, burgers, and comfort food. It is a hangout for surfers, bikers and car enthusiasts. The first Fast and the Furious had a scene shot there.

Website is: http://www.neptunesnet.com/

I hope this helps,
Lboy.

me and peter just moved out here to LA and you just have to know where to turn and where not to turn. there are streets where you ABSOLUTELY cannot drive through because of the pavement.

LA roads suck a$$! they are always in need of repairs. And when they do become repaired, they just create more HUMPS, BUMPS, & lovely lady LUMPS on the roads!. And then theres RUSH HOUR traffic every single day to worry about!

There will be F'd up areas of any city no matter where you go, you just gotta keep an eye out for the potholes.

Be thankful we don't live in the NYC, they have the worst roads in the country (from what I've heard)
