I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good engine builder/shop in Socal?
I'm pushing the limits of my stock block engine on my FI setup and I don't know how much longer it'll last...and I have a new blower/pulley combo that I KNOW for sure the stock block can't handle...so I want to be proactive and start looking around for shops around here...
We all know about GTM is the tops...can anyone else recommend any other places around here to consider?

Yeah, Shawn's concerned with my stock block...he wants me to keep the rpms to 6500 just to be super safe....but I run it up to 7000 rpm anyway because its sooo much fun...
I didn't get a chance to fix the piping, but it seems to be holding up...just has an ugly bulge under the car...I'll let you know about this weekend...

Haha...I was ALREADY on the 2.87 with my stock block, and Shawn was kinda scared (~12.5 psi)...then I upgraded to the SI trim blower, then he got more scared (particularly when I got the Water/Meth and pushed it even higher, now at ~13.5 psi)...now I sent my old Sc trim blower to 928 Motorsports to modify it so it blows even MORE than the SI trim (it's almost like a T-trim, but not quite...) and I may go to a GTM 2.62 pulley...I think that's more than my stock block can take, probably bending a rod...
So I'm gonna have to hold back on installing the new blower/pulley until I blow my engine and get the built one...IPP is a pretty good option, I've heard good things about them...Were would you have the engine installed?
Yeah...do it...do it...do it...

Actually I gotta get with Shawn to talk to him about some peripheral stuff that's involved in the build, like a return fuel system and potential CARB referee issues...may need new injectors, too..
i'll build your engine for you... for 1 million dollars... i will give you 10,000 hp and you can fly to asian on one tank of gas. how about that? hahaha...
dood, are you going to do this soon? or you just getting the itch when your other blower comes back?

Get a built block from IPP i think his name was kyle. THen just swap out your block and good to go. Damn i need to ride in your car, it seems like you're having much more fun than me! What did you do with your old blower the polished one?

1 million bucks? Can't even buy a bugatti veyron for that...
I just feel like it would be a waste to throw away a perfectly good engine (so far)...it still runs great right now, but other that a few bits of joyriding, I haven't really pushed it yet....let's see what happens when I take it to the track....
Besides, that nismo thermostat I'm gonna buy is gonna set me back good...
