Well tonight i finally worked up the courage to de-badge my z, but if u look at it in the right light u can see the "imprints" the 350z badge on the rear hatch had made. how do you remove these imprints? detailing the car? clay bar? wax on wax off? O_O!

I used this thing called goo gone on my old accord when I debadged it. Didnt hurt the paint, just smells really bad but does the work of getting that sticky sticker like imprint of the car.

i got that sticky stuff off, by imprint i mean you can kinda see where the badge used to be and make out the 350 z.

I know what you mean, kind of like the car got a sun burn type thing? where you can only see it at a certain angle. I removed mine a couple of months back, left it alone, and now you cant see it. As far as a quick fix, IDK, sorry cant help with that.

well ive been meaning to go get the car detailed for a while and i think the clay bar would take care of it.

Try clay bar or wet sanding it, never debadged before, but I'm sure it won't hurt trying.

i think wet sanding would work thats if you want to spend that much time taking off an imprint im not sure about clay bar though

I went 350z-emblemless for about a week and couldn't get rid of the ghost effect.

I ended up painting the emblem black with some brosefs and reattaching it.

hey i was wondering did you debadge your nissan emblem also? cause im planning on taking off my nissan emblem but my reason is because there my be holes connecting them anybody know if there are holes?

I didn't take out this Nissan emblems. For one it would look weird to me. Two they are connected my screw i believe, so you would see holes.

Unless you have a convertible, there are holes behind the Nissan badge on the coupe version.
