Well depending on which 285 u get, you can still rub. For example if you got KDW2's you probably would still rub since even though they are 285, they fit like a 295.
You should just stick with a 275. :>

Yeah, and I know two guys who had +12 LE37s on 305 PS2's. I have no clue what suspension stuff they had, but they were both seriously boosted cars, so the camber setup must have been usable.
so i swapped out my rear 275 for 295 and all i gotta say is OMG
i havnt rubbed YET, but i gotta feeling i will. it sticks out SO wideeee
whos down for a trade 285 for 295??
dude, ive been running 285, 1.2" drop, no fender roll and ive been rubbing 100% when i go up a drive way, dip, speed bump...i think you should look for a 275..
Jzurita had quite a bit of fender work done to accomodate those tires....not just a roll but a extension as well. W/ 295's your camber w/ cut fenders would have to be -3.5 to -4.0 w/ a 12 offset. At that point it'll be like running hockey skates in the rear. might as well just run 275/35s at -2.
Good information here and it seems to be quite accurate. Im running 315's in the rear with 285's up front and had to widen my rear quite drastically to accomodate the big jump in width. The difference with all that extra meat on the ground really is night and day. Good luck with the build.
