Default Detail of a club members 370Z

I recently finished this detail on a club members 370Z detail. All he wanted this time around was a wash and a wax. Since this was the first time seeing it I also suggested a clay.

Here are the steps i did-

1. wash the car with optimium car wash

2. Clayed entire car

3. wash car again to remove the clay residue

4. used Collonite 845 wax for the lsp.

5. Interior I use 303 for the vinyl and rubber

here is the basic product i used-

optimium car wash
bilt hambler clay
collinite 845
303
stoners

Here are some pics of the Car

to answer both of your questions.

Yes I did have to order the stuff I listed as the products I used Smoothz

Usually the clay bar comes with some stuff, if it doesn't then you can use a Quik Detailer for the lubricant T-stan

Thanks for asking

hey hammer...
i decided to just have the whole car re-sprayed... i was unhappy with the lack of pearl with my after market paint job so how long should i wait until i wil need your services for my first wax?... My car will be under a car cover and left outside and i plan to stay away from that damn brush at the lazy mans DIY local car wash

they say you should wait 30 days after any kind of repaint then you will be able put some kind of wax or sealant on it. I do recommend at least some kind of polishing before the application. After a repaint there still some small scratches left from sanding the body when painting. Most body shops just do a quick buff.

Also when you put the car cover on it be sure that it's clean and that the paint is dry to. You don't want the car cover sticking to the paint or scratching it.
