Default Super AutoBacs!!!

Have any of you SoCal guys been over to Super Autobacs in Stanton, CA yet? I just went over there, and it's all I hoped it would be. For people who aren't familiar with the chain, its like a Pep Boys geared specifically for the aftermarket! The facility is nice, and I even managed to set-up a couple of runs with some Evo and Sti owners that I met in the parking lot.

It looks like it could be a great place for a meet too...

Exactly as daytona350z posted... the price are same as retail and you can get some of stuff cheaper from our vendors here. Nice place to look around though

I think they'll be able to stick around for people that don't shop around for better deals. I seriously think they need to change their business model. They're suppose to be the Walmart of aftermarket parts.. so it should be cheap since they can buy in bulk and have their name recognition.

I think they should drop the price if they want to stay in business. I don't think most of people will pay that kind's price for part.

I went in there totally willing to spend around $275 for a pair of rotora replacement slotted front rotors. The msrp is like $170/each, so $340 for the pair msrp. The guy that I tracked down to help me at first didn't know what I was looking for, then he couldn't figure out if it existed or not, then he spends about 5 minutes looking in his computer.

Only to tell me that they sold it for msrp and couldn't move on the price.

All-in-all I am not impressed by them whatsoever. Any idiot with a computer can find more pricing and product information quicker than asking Autobacs' assistants.

I will give them credit for carrying a diverse range of products. But in the long run, I don't think they'll be successful in America. Too expensive, shoddy store design (aka you walk in and cannot find what aisle to go down), too many kids working (aka - I don't trust someone 18 yrs old to know anything beyond what the manufacturer puts in their brochures).

I agree. And It's too far from here (FWY traffic) to even consider checking it out when prices and service are going to suck ***.

The store is great for just hanging out, meeting other modified car owners, setting up runs with them, and browsing all their japanese car magazines...I never said anything good about the prices.
