Default how do u get away with fi

im curious to know for all those guys with boosted z out there in cali.
how do you get away with it?

i got a ticket for my nismo intake so id imagine its worse for a fi z

how do you pass smog? do you take ur system off and reinstall it or just through down a bribe.

same thing if u have an emissions fix it ticket what do you generally do then?
take it off? bribe the ref

any other hints tips or tricks for getting away with fi other than not speeding

if you know someone with boost, ask them who smogs their car and see if they can hook you up. its more expensive. also not driving like a ricer with a baby d**k helps...

My car's boosted and completely not-street-legal... it's all about stealth. Drive slow and safe, don't have a loud BOV or exhaust, and you're good to go. Smog? Not a problem, there's plenty of hookups.

This is so true, not driving like a complete douche every time you head out to go anywhere is 99.9% of the game. Most people who are FI do step on it when its open road etc, or just a daily with a little more pep ( im in this group). But driving like a maniac during rush our traffic, or going 100 in a 45 mph zone will get you noticed! just not by the people you'd like to be noticed by

I move out to LA on the 12th and am not looking forward to all this. In GA the cops could care less and while most of my friends think I drive like a grandpa I still forsee a day with a bored cop messing with me. I am considered putting my cats back on just in case or pick up some HFC's at some point.

How do you satisfy that popcharger ticket after you get it? Just pay the fine or do you have to get it looked at by the PD?

If you are pulled over by local cops for any fix it ticket, you have to go to local police station, let them check it out, sign it off, then go to court and pay a 20$ fee. OR you can go to court and let them look at it and then pay

if you are pulled over by CHP, u gotta go to a CHP office. If you are pulled over for test pipe, your car is gonna be towed

M0nkie. It's funking 25 bucks now. Hahaha.

But yeah op. Get ready to pay some $$$ when smog rolls around. As for the cops, like everyone else said, it just depends on how u drive. Sometime it just depneds on if the cop wants to be a biatch or not and pull over a fixed up car.

Driving stealth is very true. When I had my TN installed, I put back my front plate, had a CAT for the smell & resonators on my Injen dual. I also have a V1 which helps in the open FWY. Bottom line is don't invite cops to stop you. I got my smog last month & paid $200.
