Default West Covina Nissan?

I want to take my car in for an oil change. In the past, I had used Performance Nissan, and then West Covina Nissan when that was built a few years ago. They used to have service specials for oil changes, and charged somewhere around $40 or $45 for a synthetic oil change for my350z.com members, and used Motul oil.

Now, I haven't really driven my car very much in the past year or so, so I have not got an oil change. I called today to find out the price. The service advisor lady who answer did not know the price for a synthetic oil change, and after finding out, said they charge $64.99 for synthetic oil. I asked her if they had a discount for my350z.com members, and she had no idea what I was talking about. She stated that is the lowest price they have unless I have a coupon. When I asked her what kind of oil they use, she said she had no idea. She said she would have to go to the back and ask. When she came back, she told me Mobile.

I'm a little hessitant about going to get my oil changed at this dealership. I used to trust them, but it seems like their advisors have changed, and have less knowledge. Is this dealership recommended anymore? If not, what is everyone using? WCN used to even allow you to go in the garage and watch them work on your car--I'm sure that's changed as well.

Both performance Nissan and west Covina Nissan continually increased their prices so I stopped going there and started to do my oil change.

I recommended a friend to WCN for 30k maintenance about 4 months ago and they messed up one of his sideskirts and rear bumper... I agree they don't have knowledgeable people anymore... He just goes to Puente Hills Nissan now. Even the parts department are clueless. Gave me wrong parts and wrong info, and charged me 20% for restocking fees. I just avoid that dealership now and tell others to avoid it.

I can do oil change, PM me if you want more info.

If you like oil all over your engine bay go to West Covina Nissan. At one point they were regularly on the forum when Tim was there but they are long gone.

West Covina parts are good people though, I have bought from them and always got taken care of.

If you just want an oil change I've got a guy I now go to in Redondo Beach if Precision Z in Canoga Park is too far for you. Anything major I would certainly recommend Precision Z for that.

I always ask for a service adviser I know when I go to the dealer; it used to be Tim at West Covina Nissan...I ask for John Kuo at Preformance Nissan because he knows his stuff with the 350z and knows the aftermarket aspects of the car as well...I just call John directly; I don't bother if he's not available...

Had a very bad experience with Performance Nissan after taking my car there for major mods for years- their ownership and management changed. Since the original management at West Covina was turned over and later on Tim Lang left, they are a big question mark. Corner3 garage is my choice now- Nima & Steve are outstanding.

I would also recommend Corner 3. They are very knowledgable and also have really good prices.

corner 3 is great. But WCN is 5 min away from me. Last oil change I called ahead and they said 64.99 for motul however when they rang me up it came up at $32.99

I guess the chick at the counter probably messed up but the invoice said MOTUL and cust discount. If i find the paperwork I'll post it.

Nissan of Santa Monica has an insane oil change deal.

$150 for 3 oil changes using high synth oil high in ester (not sure brand)
$130 for 3 oil changes using synth oil (not sure brand)
$49 for 3 oil changes using dyno oil (Penzoil)

My Z is boosted and lowered...had no problems with it

Again, $32 is not worth an engine bay full of oil.

That shitt is not cool with me when my engine bay is spotless when I bring it in

I dont know if the price is good, but I know a guy in OC at Midas. I got a lifetime oil change with MOBILE 1 5w-30 synthetic oil for like $210 bucks. I used to have a lifetime regular oil change for $100 bucks with my old car so he said he'll hook me up. I dont know if that's a good price or bad. I'm sucker into things that are lifetime so....lol. It's the Midas on Mcfadden and Beach Blvd if u want to look it up.
