Can anyone reccommend someone In SoCal who can roll the rear fenders on my Z? I can't find anyone who can do it here in Las Vegas.

 

Any place in particular in So Cal?

 

Los Angeles, San Diego area. I'll be drivng from Vegas, so a 4 or 5 hour drive would be fine.

 

Try Sam's Auto Land in Gardena - (310) 329-7444. They are the official body shop of the local Honda, Nissan, and Toyota dealerships. I've had insurance work done by them on 3 cars and they did an excellent job.

 

Go to Body Pros in Orange and talk to Wally, they did my fenders for $85. They actually cut and shaved them out rather than rolling them which risks chipping the paint.

I strongly recommend not cutting the fenders unless you get them welded to reinforce the rear quarter panel. The stock fender inner lips (the part that needs to be rolled) are made up of 2 layer sheetmetal..one sheet folded over the other. The layers are then tack welded. This inner lip provides structural rigidity to the quarter panel preventing deformation around the wheel well under high corner loads. Taka Aono (top national autocross competitor) has experienced the deformation on one of his AE86 corollas which had its fenders cut to accomodate wider tires. Best method is to just have the fenders rolled.
