Default San Diego meeting at smoothie Shop???

hey guys,

my friends and i are thinking of opening a small smoothies, snacks shop, like tapioca express. We like to host a monthly meeting at our place. you can come and hang out with Z drivers. You dont have to buy any drink. but if you do then 30% for your entire purchase.

Here is our issue. We have three locations to open a shop. The first one is down in National city area. the second one is at Mira Mesa. and the last location is by Clairemont Mesa area. The issue with Clairemont Mesa area is competition. the market is over saturated.

If I was just wondering which location is best for you guys. I am also hosting meeting for other cars too but on different days.

p.s there are plenty of parking spaces at all three locations.

Thank you.

Depends on who you are trying to attract to your business, where you live, how much money you have for rent, etc.

Clairemont is a great central location and I think you'll have a hard time getting north county individuals to drive all the way to National City.

Hope that helps and good luck!!

Best location for me is Clairemont (live 10 minutes away).

Yeah, there's a couple in clairemont area and not sure about Mira Mesa. I think a new place like that just opened up in national city a few weeks ago too. I honestly couldn't recommend an area because I don't frequent places like that but where ever you open, host a meet and I'll swing by

thank you guys for replies. i actually thought about national city too. however i cant find a place near the naval bases that open late. i dont want to be the only shop that open until 11 or 12 at night.

if you guys have a place in national city or chula vist please recommend. we are actually opening two shop. it is called Coffee or Juice. we are still looking for the best location. Do navy people hang around their bases alot? i have lots of Navy buddies and they dont want to hang around their bases! Weird? but oh well.

Mira Mesa
Bad: Too many cops around that area. On top of that, Mira Mesa blvd itself is a sh!te street, lots of bumps and potholes. Parking situation is also not as abundant. Also, depending on what area/time, car meets may conflict with bike meets by Jamba Juice-ish area.
Good: A lot of other shops around the area toward the 15, so other things to do and chill. Speaking of freeways, it sits right between both 805 and the 15. Also, has centralized boba, cafe's and your general starbucks, stores, etc.

Clairemont Mesa
Bad: As you stated, saturated all ready. Saturation in the sense of car meets and cafe/boba shops. Be it clairemont mesa, it is close to convoy - all competition.
Good: Pretty much the central area for most folks. And the area has some klout already, established for car meets. Additionally, lots of other things to do right after the meets.

National City
Bad: Far for north county folk and judging from most meets around 6 or 7PM, think of traffic going back down south. Yikes. And from what I heard, lots of cops.
Good: Super spacious and doesn't seem saturated? Also, maybe a new scene for some so that may be enticing. Down south has lots of "secret" spots and warehouses for those who are prone to drift/slide/race or what not after.

Thanks guys.

yeah i know Clairemont Mesa is an ideal place but too much competition. Right now we are looking at National City on Main st near Naval Bases and Clairemont Mesa area west of 805! It seems like not a lot of smoothie shop there but it also seems like no body ever go there

more inputs needed guys.

thanks advance

hm.. Clairemont seems to get lots of attention. I guess we have to scout for a better location in Clairemont Mesa. I guess another shop will either be at national city or Mira mesa. Anyone know where navy people hang out down south san diego? thank you

I say clairmont because if your quality is there or if your price is low(one or the other of course) you will get "regulars". Most of the places here(I live there) are not really that good for what they offer. National City might be tough due to the demographic, I don't see too many people there craving boba. Yet of course, it will be an easier venture due to the fact of less competition. Oceanside will probably be the safest bet, a little of both.
