I went to a porsche club of america autoX yesterday with one of my partners. It was insane fun. It was their last event of the year -0 so you could bring your "other car" He brought his Z. It did pretty well.

Either way here's my ish. I've autoX'd before and found it vert ungratifying b/c

1) courses are too short
2) courses are slow and technical
3) you only got MAX 5 runs in a day.

The PCA autocross was incredible, their course was LONG - it was a freaking track! You could use 4gear in the Z. There were a bunch of great combos of high speed sweepers, hairpins, reducing radius turns etc.

And the kicker!! These guys would get 10 runs an hour!! So in the 3 hours I was their we had 30 runs!!

So my question is ...do I need to go buy a porsche tomorrow or is there a similar Z club that has this same format?

I checked out a SCCA autoX at qualcomm in august and it looked bto bethe same as my prev scca experience - granted I bailed after 30 min (missed reg).

BTW the PCA does sevral TRACK days at willow and other tarcks - how do I do this with my Z!!!
