I too recently made the move to Cali, weather is amazing for the most part (I say this as its suppose to rain tomorrow, lol)
Roads are horrible just about everywhere, the Z people are nice and welcoming, gas is high for no damn reason, but other than that, its pretty good here.
What is bringing you this way? Work?

For anyone not familiar with Beverlywood:

That's a nice area d00d. Now that you'll be in Cali you can drop the car a bit

Agree with lunchbox. There is more uneven pavement, dips in roads, just plain bad roads and of course... SPEED BUMPS than in NY or the entire NE region for that matter.
But... OP, where in Brooklyn are you from? I'm born and raised there (Bensonhurst) and just recently moved here too.

SoCal is pretty awesome. Good food (pizza doesn't compare to Brooklyn pizza obviously), nice windows down weather, decent nightlife and much bigger car community. I daily drive mine and it's a ***** scraping everywhere and dealing with these speed bumps. I think it's the speed bumps alone that accelerated the wear of my compression rod bushings.

Cool so you didn't live too far away from me.
