Quarter mile anyone?
If anyone's interested, I'll be going to the Fontana California Speedway Saturday, January 24th. I want to see if I can improve on my 14.4 quarter mile time.
It's only my second time there, but I think it'd be fun to have a bunch of Z brothers (and hopefully sisters) show up. Last time I went, there were 300+ cars including 50+ mitsu's, dozens of soobs, bimmers, a bunch of American muscle cars, etc. but only three Zs. Still, it was fun.
If you decide to come, keep in mind that this is pretty much an all-day event so you'll need to bring rations. For the driver, long pants are mandatory as is a helmet if the inspector determines your vehicle to be under 14 seconds (or if you tell him so). You have to get there at noon or earlier. Actual racing starts at 4 and goes on till late night.

Cost is $20 per car ($10 if you're only spectating). If folks want to meet somewhere in OC (e.g. South Coast Plaza?) and caravan from here, I'm all for it. I'll get some hazard cones to section off an area in the parking space just for us. It does get pretty packed there.
FYI, the place is pretty barren in terms of amenities and there is a good 2-hour wait for the tech inspection, so bring at a minimum drinks (food, if you don't care for the $5 cheese dogs) suntan lotion and optionally folding chairs and stuff. The earlier we get there, the less the wait for the inspection.
PS: I'll be running 22 PSI on the rears, so I'll being a small air pump to reinflate in case anyone else in interested. Also if you want low numbers, I suggest lightening your car (safely) as much as possible - take out carpets and the junk from your rear compartment. Leave the spare and the jack in. You can take it out over there and put it in a large bag or something.

For those who are coming, we're going to meet at South Coast Plaza near Maggiano's at 10:15 this Saturday and we'll head out to Fontana from there at 10:30.
You're also welcome to meet us there, but either PM me or post here that you're coming so I can reserve a spot in the pit area.
Hope to see some FI's this time and may the G-force be with us.
