Nevermind Somebody got me tickets and backstage passes for a concert to see one of my favorite bands here in SD on Friday night and there is no way I can make the 4 hour drive to the track after a long night of drinking.

I will be taking the Z up to Buttonwillow for University of VARA (first step toward eventual vintage racing license) on 1/12 and 1/13. The event is open to street cars, and you don't need a VARA membership to attend, so if anyone is interested in some track time (mixed with instruction), check it out.

Can anyone recommend a hotel in the area? Also, any tips for this track? This will be my first time there.
