I might try that glossifiyer stuff, its supposed to add strength to the dip and it gives it that shine.
i used it on my inside door handles where the switches are are and then sprayed automotive clear coat on it and it made it strong,. but glossy. you could try a matte clear coat

I decided on matte orange, as soon as I get the $600 scrapped together I'll start posting results. Should be no later than 2-3 weeks

Did my handles finally. No issues except when opening doors i do feel some tackiness, might need more time to dry.But it came out nice, the plastidip goes on nice and clean.

I Also did my headlights with toothpaste

Door handles look pretty good Try spraying clear coat on it to see if it feels smoother. Might give it a gloss kind of look, but it should get rid of the tackiness feel. Worse case scenario you just peel it off lol
And damn I guess the toothpaste really does work, I heard it works wonders and I recommended it all the time, but never imagined haha

I heard that clear coat can make it harder to peel. I'm going to get the plastidip glossifiyer see if that helps. The toothpaste was amazing, I never thought it would be so easy. I've had my car for a few years and never thought of it. I was even thinking of replacing the lights too.

Yeah that would be the only downside of it lol but I was talking to my friend yesterday who did this to his bikes gas tank, said it still feels tacky after the clear coat.
They have a plastidip glossifiyer?

Yes they have a plastidip glossifiyer that comes in different shades like clear, smokey or metallic but i couldnt find it in the stores. Im going to order some.

travlee9374 you do not need to take the handles off. It was so easy, i left the doors open and with a hefty garbage bag they fit right in. Then i cut a hole in the bag for the handles and taped around. took 5 mins of prep
