Exclamation Legal advice? Small Claims enforce Judgement

I am always pleasantly surprised at the pool of people who are on these forums, a lot with different expertise. So I am trying to find some help with a small claims legal issue.

Situation
It's been about a year now and I won a case. From what I understand, the next step would be myself, trying to enforce judgement correct? Like I said, it's been a little over a year and the case was in San Diego county. I have moved to LA county and the other guy, moved out of state.

Can someone help me understand my options or next steps?
Levy (seize) assets?
Judgment Debtor’s Statement of Assets?
Place a lien?

Thank you very much.

Thats what I thought, but reading online I would need to file a a certain action across state lines, something with an exception of a few states (like CA) does not adopt.

If he owns real estate, you can file a lien in the county it's located in. When and if he ever sells it, you have a chance at collecting.

I succeeded in collecting $2000 that I loaned to an (now ex) girlfriend. She signed a note, I sued and won.

Exactly. Thats what I am saying, the case is already done - I won. In this case is enforcing judgement over state lines. Placing a lien last 10 years and then I can renew for ten years. In that time frame, that $3000 the person owes me turns into $$$$ because of interest.
